It all started in 1946, when Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia. Credited with inventing Chick-fil- A boneless breast of chicken sandwich, Mr. Cathy founded Chick-fil- A, Inc. in the early 1960s and pioneered the establishment of restaurants in shopping malls with the opening of the first Chick-fil- A Restaurant at a mall in suburban Atlanta in 1967. Since then, Chick-fil- A has steadily grown to become the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, based on domestic annual sales with over 1,850 locations in 41 states and Washington, D.C. In 2013, annual sales were over $5 billion. Chick-fil- A is still privately held and family owned. With 46 consecutive years of positive sales growth, Chick-fil- A has set itself apart by pioneering innovations and delicious products—including the ever-popular Chick-fil- A® Chicken Sandwich.

Our Mission Statement

Chick-fil-A Virginia Center Marketplace opened in August of 2001. As Howe's (Owner/Operator) first free standing store. The store went under a full remodel in September/October of 2016, allowing for more efficiency in the operations and creating an aesthetically pleasing dinning experience to guests. This locations is proud to have X.C.C.L. participant Tony overseeing the operations of the front line.

Chick-fil-A Center of the Universe opened in May of 2013, as Howe's 2nd free standing store. Center of the Universe took the place of an old gas station, thus building the only Chick-fil-A in the Ashland community. Throughout the walls, as shown in the pictures above you can find words of encouragement and Bible verses, dedicating the store to the creator of all things. Currently Jazmine, a X.C.C.L. participant is the Director of Operations for this location along with Stephen and Jonathan who oversee respective areas within the business.

Chick-fil-A in King's Dominion This store is different than the other two free standing units as it is a self-serve location. This location services theme park guests, seeking a great product that is supported by a family name. Currently Grant, a X.C.C.L. participant is the Director of Operations for this location.
